Jessica and Scott both started training their own horses when they were 14 years old. They have continued on with this passion on the side and breed a few mares or buy weanlings, raise and then train the offspring for personal competition horses (Cowhorse), prospective lesson horse replacements or sale. Jessica usually starts all the 2.5 year old prospects in the winter (Dec-March) when lessons are not happening. Occasionally they will take an outside horse or two to start if requested, but it is not a normally offered service. 2024 Colts Started
These three geldings and one stud colt got started in August this year! My friend Dani helped us start Virgil and did a great job!
I also helped a Keisha (14) start her first young horse! We had fun and all the colts are riding around good now.
Gordon is destined for the lesson horse string, Leonard is quick, smart and fast and we have yet to determine where he will end up. Virgil has been sold to Darroch Performance Horses as an all round horse and Clyd is still intact and will be used to breed in his 4 year old year (if all training goes as planned). Pretty happy with these 4 colts.

2023 Colts Started
This summer, I decided I liked having Dec off from starting colts, so I decided to start all three colts/geldings mid August. One of my good friends, Charlena Robinson started her first 2 year old under my guidance that she bred and raised! She was over the moon with the results. And my other good friend Brenda Kwaitkowski continued her training with her 3 year old Spur and even got her first couple rides on him. It was an epic three weeks of comradery and women building women at Wruck Riding Centre!

2022/2023 Colts/Fillies Started
Jessica started 2, 2 year olds in Sept of 2022 (June and McGregor) and assisted two students (Hannah and Rhys) in starting their two year old fillies as well. It was a busy fall! Then Jessica started another two 2.5 year olds in January 2023 (Henrietta and Gem). June will be ridden and then used in the broodmare band later on, and Henrietta is slated for the WRC lesson program. Both geldings may enter in the lesson program or may be offered for sale later on! Training horses continues to be one of Jessica's greatest challenges (along with raising children!) and professional development. Young horses keep her humble and ever learning !

Gem went to live with a new family in Sept 2024 and they are hoping to be able to do the surgery!

2021/2022 Colts & fillies Started
We started four 2.5 year old of ours and one for a dear friend, Brenda Kwaitkowski! A true commitment and labor of love and a bit of humble pie all wrapped up into cold winter months. Always made warmer by good horses and amazing friends and family!
Upate: Harriet is 4 and is being rode and is enroute to go into the lesson program in the fall of 2024!
Harriet is slated to be a replacement lesson horse. Harriet comes from Diamond K Ranch. We have had several wonderful horses from the Kings! Every year we hope that one horse will be a lesson horse prospect and this year this is our girl!
