2026 Summer Camps

Little Wruck Riders 2 day Camp

 Ages 6-10 
Maximum of 6 kids, filled on a first come first serve basis
No riding experience is required. 
Must bring own lunch for camp days
Cost: $350+gst, $100 non-refundable deposit
Camp Date:  April 10/11 (Back up date: April 25/26 is weather is too cold for first date, May 17/18 and July 2/3
About:  During the course of the lessons, your child will learn the basics of how to control and ride a horse safely such as how to ask a horse to move forward, to stop, to turn, to back up and to increase speed as they are competent.
Time: April and May camps run 9am-4pm, Summer camp runs 7am-2pm each day due to hot summer weather.

Intermediate Wruck Riders Level 1 Camp

Ages 7-12 
Maximum of 6-8 kids.  Filled on a first come first serve basis
Some riding experience required (close to riding on own). 
Must bring own lunch for camp days
Cost: $350+gst, $100-refundable deposit
Camp Dates: July 30/31
About: The camp activities will consist of technical riding lessons to ensure safety and knowledge, trail riding (if competent enough), gymcana games, and some craft time.
​Time: Each camp run 7am-2pm each day due to hot summer weather. 

Intermediate Wruck Riders Level 2  Camp

Ages 7-15 
Maximum of 6-8 kids.  Filled on a first come first serve basis
Riding experience required.  Camp participants must be loping. Can bring own horse.
Must bring own lunch for camp days. This camp is geared towards kids that are competent riders at a young age and for the most part can manage on their own.    
Cost:$450+gst or $420+gst (own horse), $100-refundable deposit
About: The camp activities will consist of trail riding, drill team, gymkhana games, technical riding, equine first aid and some craft time.
Camp Date: July 7-9
Time: Each camp run 7am-2pm each day due to hot summer weather.

New**Intermediate level 1 & 2
3 day camp

Ages 7-15 
Maximum of 6-8 kids.  Filled on a first come first serve basis
Riding experience required.  
This camp is for the kid that isn't quite a level 1 intermediate, but isn't quite a level 2. This camp is geared towards kids that are competent riders at a young age and for the most part can manage on their own.  Must be loping.  Can bring own horse.
Cost:$450+gst or $420+gst (own horse), $100-refundable deposit
About: The camp activities will consist of trail riding, drill team, gymkhana games, technical riding, equine first aid and some craft time.
Camp Date: July 21-23
Time: Each camp run 7am-2pm each day due to hot summer weather.

Experienced Wruck Riders  Camp

Ages 10-18
Maximum of 12-14 kids, filled on a first come first serve basis.
Must bring own lunch each day
Riding experience is required.  Rider must be able to lope inside arena and outside arena, tack up on own, and understand proper horse care and safety.
Cost:  $450+gst or $420+gst to bring your own. $100 non-refundable deposit
About: The camp activities will consist of trail riding, drill team, gymkhana games, technical riding, equine first aid and some craft time.
Camp Date: July 15-17
Time: Each camp run 7am-2pm each day due to hot summer weather.

Ladies & Gents 3 Day Late Summer Camp

​Ages 18+ (some exceptions made to older more advanced teens)
Maximum of 12 Adults, filled on a first come first serve basis.
Must bring own food except for meals that are specified that will be provided by WRC. 
Advanced Riding experience is required.  Rider must be able to lope inside arena and outside arena, tack up on own, and understand proper horse care and safety. Experience and independence required with most horse care and handling.

Cost: $400+gst to bring and haul your own horse. If a WRC horse is required, price will be discussed with Jessica
 $100 non-refundable deposit
About: This year the camp will consist trail riding, drill team and a potential overnight. 
Camp Date: Aug 27-29, 2026 
Daily times vary depending on daily activity.

Trail Rides

Location: Wruck Riding Centre
Cost: $75+gst/person

No riding experience necessary, though a small lesson will be given before hand to ensure safety of horse and rider.
Must sign a waiver, spots are filled on a first come first serve basis.

2026 Clinics

Winter Cattle CliniC

Dates: Feb 20/21, 2026
If weather is too cold (-12 or colder before the wind chill), then clinics will be re-scheduled.
Location: Wruck Riding Centre; Saskatoon, SK
Clinician: Rod Thiessen and Jessica Wruck
The clinic will consist of dry work (flag, positioning and horse suppleness exercises) and working cattle out of a small group in the morning  (2 hours) and then a shorter (1 hour) afternoon session of working a cow one on one. This clinic will also consist of roping the heelomatic and roping live cattle with breakaway hondos.
Clinic Details:
Fri, Feb 20, 2026
12-2pm: Roping lesson with Rod (on foot and using heelomatic) $75+gst
 2:30-3:30pm: Beginner Dry/Flag work with Jessica $75+gst
 4-5pm: Advanced Dry/Flag work with Rod:$75+gst
 
Sat, Feb 21, 2026
 9-10:30am: Advanced Herd Work with Rod $125+gst
 10:30-12pm: Beginner Herd work with Jessica: $75+gst
 12-1pm: Lunch
 1-3pm: 1:1 Cattle works with Rod or Jessica: $105+gst
 3:30-5pm: Roping Live Cattle with Rod: $75+gst
 
Participants can pick and choose which lesson to enter. Spaces limited in each lesson so contact Jessica to find out if there is space.
Cost: Price per lesson ranges from $75+gst-$125+gst.
Deposit: $50 non-refundable deposit/clinic.  Balance due on clinic date.  Etransfer to wrc@sasktel.net
Cancellation Policy: Deposit is only returned to you if I am able to find another person to replace your spot in the clinic. If you cancel less than one week prior to the clinic, your will be required to pay the full clinic fee.
Must provide your own lunch;
Horses may be tied to your trailer and feeding them hay there is fine; however please clean up your hay and poop on the ground before leaving and put in the manure pile.  Water is available at a hydrant to the south of the arena; but you must provide your own bucket.  
All participants must have a valid 2025 SHF membership for insurance purposes and will be required to sign a waiver.
